Hitman 3: how to import PC content from Steam to Epic Games Store

PC Hitman players, ready your suit and piano wire — all three games in the World of Assassination Trilogy can now be played in the one place.

If you haven't played Hitman 3 yet, check out our review — it's a bloody good game.

After a slightly messy content transfer situation on PC due to the games' availability across different storefronts, Hitman 3 developer IO Interactive has now made it possible to transfer Hitman 1 and 2 content from Steam to the Epic Games Store at no extra cost.

Remember, you can't transfer content and progress across different platforms, meaning you can only redeem the first two games' content in Hitman 3 if you own them all on PC or whichever system you own.

If you own any of the first two Hitman games on either a PlayStation or Xbox console, read our comprehensive guide on how to transfer content and progression to Hitman 3, as the process is different to the PC version.

How to import Hitman 1 & 2 Steam content into Hitman 3 on the Epic Games Store

If you own either Hitman 1 or 2 and any of the associated DLC on Steam, you can now claim the corresponding Access Passes for Hitman 3 at no extra cost, which is currently exclusive to the Epic Games Store.

To do this, you first need to create an IOI account. With this account, log into Hitman 2, and ensure your Steam account is linked with the IOI account.

You don't need to worry about logging into Hitman 1, because if you own this and Hitman 2 on Steam, Hitman 2 will recognise you have both games.

Additionally, if you already have the first Hitman on Epic Games Store — which was a freebie a while ago — you can redeem the Hitman 1 Access Pass via Hitman 3 without any extra processes.

Once your Steam and IOI accounts are connected, do the same with your Epic Games Store account by logging into Hitman 3 with your IOI account.

Now, you're ready to import all your owned Steam Hitman 1 and 2 content into Hitman 3!

To process the import, visit the PC Access Pass link and log in. IO Interactive recommend using a desktop browser, as the site isn't optimised for mobile.

Here, you can review what content you own and choose what to import. Keep in mind you can only do this once, which is really only a factor if you have multiple accounts.

The final step is to click on the "claim" button for any eligible Access Pass to complete the import of any owned Hitman 1 and 2 content into Hitman 3.

Hitman 2 has multiple types of Access Passes to choose from, depending on whether you own the expansions or just the base game content. Hitman 1 only has the one Access Pass.

Once you've completed the process and claimed the relevant Access Passes, restart Hitman 3 and you should be good to go.

Now it's time to go and hit some men. Good luck, Agent 47.
