The Samsung guys brought along their new range of new notebooks and the whole night had everyone realise there’s a lot more to notebooks that meets the eye.
A special surprise treat for everyone in the second half of the show was VERY well received!

For this show we’re covering key topics that are top of the mind for every gamer and tech user.
The Tech Show – the Laptop Revolution

It’s the cutting edge for gaming hardware evolution, and a big fat door of open creativity for game design. Nothing pushes gaming forward like the FPS, or delivers such intense excitement and immersive action. Where is this key genre heading, what technology is around the corner to enable incredible graphics and what new themes can the genre explore?
Our panel guests will include: Dan Warne, ACP; David Hollingworth, Atomic; Richie Young, GameArena; Jeremy ‘Junglist’ Ray, former host of Good Game; Zara Baxter, PC Authority.

Bytesiders sure know how to party, and the night was a wonderful collection of great people having a top time.
The show was fabulous entertainment, with our star guests sharing their ideas for the very best ways to spend your game and gear budget this Christmas.
Much fun was had by all, on our AMD gaming PCs, which included the has-to-be-seen Eyefinity 3-monitor display, running Dirt 2 in DX11 glory, thanks to the AMD 5870 card in the box.
We’ll have the show videos up tomorrow, and here’s a sleection of pics from the night.

Your expert panelists include:
David Flynn – veteran tech journo and former editor of ACP and Icon

Bajo – Good Game host
Jez Ford – Geare editor
Ben Mansill – Byteside bloke and founding editor PC PowerPlay and Atomic
Daniel Wilks – editor of Hyper
Simon Sharwood – veteran tech journo, writes for everyone!
As always, all expertly orchestrated by our host Seamus Byrne.

We’ve wrapped what was, may we humbly say, a brilliant show. Our pro-gaming panel locked on to, and shredded, the elite gaming culture, while our extreme PC crew overclocked the bejeezes out of the night.
Our superstar overclocker Dinos managed a personal best ever overclock for the crowd, in a fest of liquid nitrogen, and everyone went home with trick ASUS goodies. A very lucky couple of Bytesiders scored high-end ASUS motherboards. We look after you at Byteside.
It’s rich entertainment and full to the brim with traditional Byteside wit, intelligence and insight.
Now, because this was a Wednesday show, where normally we do the Tuesday thing, the video won’t be up until Friday. If you’re on our b-list, we’ll shoot you an email as soon as it’s live, if you’re not on the b-list – get some, and always get the latest Byteside news the moment it happens.
We’ll post details about the end of season Episode 6 very soon, but here’s the free heads-up – we’re doing the decade-spanning ‘Best of the Noughties’, so you know where to look for the best in games and gear, as judged by the elite industry pro’s.
Ep 6 will be on Tuesday November 24th, it’ll be a good one, so RSVP now and you know you’ve got a spot.
That’s not all for Byteside in 2009, we’re laying on a very special Christmas Show on December the 8th. It’s at an ultra-cool new venue and will be the fun place to be for a killer Christmas party. Stay tuned, you’re invited and we’ll post RSVP details for that one soon. Numbers will be limited, so it’s first in, totally there for that one.
Byteside, out.
