Byteside on indefinite hiatus
Posted on: May 27, 20105 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Byteside, the live panel event and video podcast featuring some of Australia’s best journalists and experts on technology and games, will be going into indefinite hiatus as the team behind the show shift focus to other projects. Byteside has built a loyal following in its first six months of life and has enjoyed great support from sponsors such as Trend Micro, Dick Smith, Sennheiser, and Samsung.
While the audience has been enthusiastic about the first two seasons, we have been exploring the right way to build Byteside into its next phase of life and now believe the basic show formula needs to evolve before continuing. For now however, the team is going to work on other projects.
We are proud of what has been achieved in this short amount of time and hope all who have watched the show, and participated in the show, feel they have been part of something special. We hope we have encouraged others to explore new ways of discussing technology and games and look forward to Byteside’s return in future.
Thanks to everyone who has watched the show, and especially those who thought coming out on a Tuesday night to enjoy some extended conversations about technology and games was a good idea. We look forward to doing something again sometime in the future.
Until next, you can still enjoy the first two seasons of Byteside right here online.

On the Games show, it’s equally ultra-cool, with the show topic Portable Gaming.

The show was fabulous entertainment, with our star guests sharing their ideas for the very best ways to spend your game and gear budget this Christmas.
