There’s a long story to how Byteside came about. Thankfully there’s also a short story: Byteside emerges from many excellent conversations shared with colleagues in the Australian technology and games journalism industries. We meet regularly. We have drinks. We talk about all the hot news and latest gear and games. It’s an industry where a lot of people who LOVE what they do get to hang out and spend their days immersed in all things geek.

Yet these conversations, often all the more candid after a few drinks, never translate to words on a page. We go our separate ways, we write our stories, and those golden verbal exchanges never reach the ears of a public audience.
