What is Byteside?
A new idea in tech and games coverage. Bringing together the best journalists and editors from across the technology and games industries, Byteside’s flagship concept — video podcasts based around a fortnightly live event. We talk the latest news, the big issues, and the best new games and gear to hit the market. Some will be lucky enough to join the live audience, while others can catch the two shows (Byteside Tech and Byteside Games) via this website, or through one of our distribution partners.
When?
The first live event takes place each fortnight, starting Tuesday, 15 September. The two shows will be available the following day online.
The events continue fortnightly, with the second event scheduled for Tuesday, 29 September.

Who is behind this thing?
Byteside is the brainchild of veteran gaming and tech journalists Séamus Byrne (Launch Editor of Gizmodo Australia, Host of Fairfax’s Digital Life video series), Ben Mansill (Launch Editor of both PC PowerPlay and Atomic), and Greg Moore (former Time Out Sydney Online Manager and live event producer).
What else does Byteside do?
We’re glad you asked. The hybrid live event / video podcast series is our flagship production, but there’s plenty more in store. In 2010 we’ll be launching new shows across a number of tech, games, and geek interest areas. How many? We aim to grow smart, not fast, so you’ll just have to see. But if you have any cool / crazy ideas for shows, feel free to get in touch.
Byteside also provides online production services to corporate clients. If you’re interested in a quote, Greg’s your man.
